2. Dates and Times

Greek In A Week in Fredericksburg will be held the last week in July (July 29 - Aug. 2). We scheduled the event to begin with an evening session Tuesday (6:00pm-9:00pm) and then run full days (8:00-5:00) through Saturday. This gives us basically a week of class but minimizes the time people have to take off from work. Each day we will take two 20 minute breaks and a full hour for lunch. Be sure to register for the class before making travel arrangements.

3. Host and Location

The host Church has yet to be confirmed for this course.

4. Minimum Age and Limited Class Size

The minimum age of attendees is 16 (unless prior arrangements for special situations have been made). In order to maximize personal instruction class sizes are limited to a maximum occupancy of 20. These spots are filled on a first come basis and are reserved by payment of tuition.

5. Materials

We will be using Machen's Greek textbook. Although the first and second edition have some slight differences it really doesn't matter which edition you get. There are always some fairly inexpensive (under $20) used copies on ebay a new book is normally over $60. Another option is to borrow one from a local library for the week (any serious library should have at least one copy.)

6. Cost

The course cost for each student depends on how many people participate. Here is the breakdown.

8 students - $450 per student

9 students - $400 per student

10 students -$360 per student

11 or more -$350 per student

The host arranges for a location for the course (typically a local church or school) with white board or chalk board). It also helps if the organizer arranges for some snacks for the three full days.
